Emergency

In an emergency you can contact your dentist to ask for urgent treatment. If you do not have a dentist or it is out- of-hours then you can ring NHS 111 to ask where the nearest out-of- hours dental service is to you. You will be charged the band 1 rate (£26.80) for emergency treatment, unless you’re eligible for free treatment.

It is advisable that you got A&E if you are experiencing heavy bleeding, injuries to your face, mouth or teeth and severe swelling of the mouth, lips, throat, neck or eyes.

There are also Special Care Dental Services for those who need greater support to access dental treatment. Please contact the FFT helpline on 01273 234 777 if you need assistance applying for a dentist or need any more details.
