New Book: How to Create Kind Schools

Friends, Families and Travellers  are featured in a new book out this Spring. Called How to Create Kind Schools, it celebrates the 30th anniversary of the national anti-bullying charity Kidscape and features 12 innovative projects – including our own – which promote inclusion, tolerance and kindness in schools. It shows how, when given the right setting, skills and support, young people can be the greatest ambassadors for kindness, and not only enrich the lives of those around them, but enrich their own as well. Words from our honorary president Baroness Janet Whitaker feature in the book too.

From a dance workshop to a gardening club, an autism ambassador to an achievement coach, a gay role model to an NSPCC schools service, our own Crystal’s Vardo production to a Prince’s Trust programme for teens, each inspirational project brings together school staff, charities and celebrity supporters who are joining forces to tackle bullying and to help children who feel isolated and excluded from their peer group fit back in – with astounding results. The book is written by Jenny Hulme, published by Jessica Kingsley, and is available on the website below. The book is £14.95.
