How it works

Complete the form below to refer yourself to Friends, Families and Travellers for an energy voucher and energy support. We will review the information provided and contact you. If eligible, we will make a referral to the Fuel Bank Foundation on your behalf who will provide you with a fuel bank energy voucher.

Important information

  • Fuel Bank vouchers are for pre-payment meters only.
  • Fuel Bank vouchers cannot be used to pay off debt on your meter. Please make sure your meter has no debt before redeeming your voucher. FFT can still offer energy advice and support to help improve your situation, so please continue with your self-referral and we will be in touch.
  • Please make sure all sections of the form are completed. This helps us assess your referral as quickly as possible.

How to Redeem a Fuel Bank Voucher

Fuel Bank vouchers can be redeemed at any shop displaying PayPoint or Post Office/Payzone services.

When redeeming your voucher, please take:

  • Your Fuel Bank voucher code
  • A form of ID (e.g. driving licence, utility bill, or benefits letter)
  • Your gas card and/or electricity key - if you do not use a gas card or electricity key to top up your pre-paid meter you will need to bring either your smart meter barcode (available in your energy providerโ€™s app) or your 19-digit smart meter code; if you donโ€™t have either of these, please contact your energy provider for assistance.

Before the retailer processes the voucher, tell them how you would like the value split between gas and electricity (if applicable). The retailer will then top up your gas card and/or electricity key.

Please keep your receipt until the credit appears on your meter.
