We offer free advice and information to families where social services are involved with a child in the family. This may be in relation to child protection concerns or when a child is looked after by the local authority or when family support services are needed.
For grandparents raising their grandchildren, we also offer advice about your rights as carer of your grandchild; lawyers; legal advice and the courts; financial help; the role of social services; your grandchild’s education; support groups for grandparents as well as useful names and addresses. Callers speak in confidence to a social worker or solclitor who is able to send advice sheets and other publications free of charge.
